Danyel Joffe grew up in Denver, Colorado and graduated from George Washington High School in 1977.  She attended Colorado State University where she studied history, political science and theater.  She graduated in 1981.

In 1979 she attended the University of Colorado Semester at Sea program and had the opportunity to be among the first American student groups to visit the Peoples Republic of China, as well as South Africa (which was still in the grip of apartheid.)

She attended the University of Denver College of Law and graduated in 1984.  Ms. Joffe was admitted to the Colorado Bar in October of 1984. 

After passing the Bar, Ms. Joffe moved to foot of Grand Mesa in Delta County, Colorado where she worked as a deputy district attorney in the Seventh Judicial District.

Ms. Joffe returned to Denver and opened The Joffe Law Firm in 1987, acting for many years Ms. Joffe as an advocate for children.  

In 1990 Ms. Joffe became an advocate in the Colorado appellate courts. She has represented over 300 clients in Criminal and civil appeals.

Since 1990 Ms. Joffe also represents criminal defendants in litigating claims of ineffective assistance of counsel and actual innocence.

Sheri Gidan, Legal Assistant.             Sheri Gidan grew up in Denver, Colorado.  She is sixth generation Denverite.  Sheri graduated from George Washington High School in 1978, and attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she studied Communication Disorders and Speech Science-Audiology/Speech Pathology and graduated in 2002.

 

Sheri has worked in various fields ranging from banking/accounting to engineering to law, where she now has worked for several years as Ms. Joffe’s office manager/legal assistant.

 

Sheri has been married for 25 years and has 3 grown daughters.
